PNC Application Online: Jobs & Career Info

Hey guys. I have a phone interview scheduled for later this week. Also, what questions should I expect in the phone interview? Anyone here familiar w PNC? How are PNC’s capital markets and investment banking summer analyst programs structured? What are the best groups? But that was not my assessment at all. So I would not consider the job even in the «middle market space» at all They recruit heavily at my campus and I almost accepted a job pnc bank investment banking careers before turning it down and signing w a BB later on I am glad I did not take the position The most interesting group is probably structured products.

Any specifics on pay? Hey I was wondering if anybody knew anything about PNC capital markets internships. I have a superday coming up and would like to know a little more about. I know that this isn’t IB and from previous threads it’s apparent ABS and loan syndications are some of the better groups.

I was wondering if anyone could comment on pay and if the above still holds true. I have used the search function but most of the stuff is atleast a few years old so I wanted a fresher. I saw some people saying that they jumped to ib at other banks for ft after interning there so was also wondering about.

The groups you mentioned are still the top groups with ABS being the real prize. Public Finance is also not bad if you’re interested in. You’ll get worked the hardest, but they provide the best experience. I don’t know if they’ve matched the recent Street bump. Did you hear back from your superday? Nope, pretty sure i’m waitlisted at this point as I know they have given offers in waves. I’ve been in contact with some who also haven’t heard.

It is now 85 base 15 signing but diminishes the longer you wait to accept your offer. No insight on other bonuses because I have not started. I have an interview coming up for a PNC Capital Markets FT analyst position and was wondering if anyone has any info about them or advice? I didn’t know about their Capital Markets Group until the other day.

I’d be working out of their Philadelphia location. Articulate why you want to be there, why capital markets and the advantages of being part of a super regional. So kinda funky situation here, seeking everyones advice: I happen to have a major contact at PNC on a first name basis with one of the bank’s 5 regional presidentsand I am basically guaranteed an interview, and maybe. So best case scenario, I get an offer as an IB analyst there, I will be locking myself out of other offers as other banks don’t interview until January if I accept.

I have a pretty competitive profile, 3. Curious. But I have no idea. PNC doesn’t really have an investment bank ; I think they do securitization and different types of lending the traditional IBD stuff is done by Harris Williams.

Can anyone tell what I should expect I have never taken a finance course in my life and have had very little financial exposure in my past internships. I am an economics major. Does anyone know where their NYC office is located? I can’t seem to find anything on their website nor was there an address listed in their job ad. Does anybody have experience interviewing with them for IBD?

If so, what was it like? They brand their securitization and loan syndication groups as IBD and have a small bond underwriting desk I believe that is relatively inactive light distribution. I’m assuming this is for their superday?

I interned with them last summer and received an offer but accepted an offer somewhere. All of the questions are very behavioral based. My entire interview only consisted of two technical questions how does net income flow through the 3 statements and how would you value a bond? Its a very laid back process however all of the interviews I think 8? I would do a little research about corporate banking and you’ll be fine.

Good luck! To add to others, HW has separate recruiting. To be honest, the more the better, but this really just sprouts from curiosity. Thanks for any help. Interned at PNC cap markets, the corporate banking interns got in at 9 took 1hr lunches, and left at 5 at the absolute latest. I have an on-campus interview with PNC this week. What questions did they ask? Got this brainteaser :.

Interviewer: Why PNC? Anyone been through it? What to expect? Technical or Fit? Unless you just have no background in finance, I’d expect mostly fit. Key question obviously is why you’d want to go to PNC as opposed to another better-known bank.

I hear PNC Bank is looking to start an investment banking division. Credit Suisse is really going down hill — not somewhere you want to be. That’s amazing. I would totally work there!

There must be something I’m missing here, unless every poster so far is just being sarcastic. Mark my words. Professors throw around those Gentleman’s A’s like candy. I know princeton’s going through some crazy deflation thing but harvard is still a strong believer in giving good grades to people who deserve. I know this is a pointless post but PNC is currently using Harris Williams to provide all ibanking services, so that is a good sign.

What’s so tempting about PNC is that I get the feeling these guys are about to blow up in a good way. PNC is so fratty. It’s fuckin’ awesome. A guy I know works for PNC. Says the culture is pretty chill. I want to work for that division. Would a summer research internship be a good path or would it have to be corpfin? Just look at the company motto: PNC leading the way. So does anyone know the details on Harris Williams? Culture, Lifestyle, future? Not that location is crucial, but PNC is in pittsburgh.

I mean I grew up in the burgh and loved it. How on earth are you claiming that «you definitely won’t get an internship there without bb experience»— once again, people blowing things way way out of proportion. Ironboy, no offense but did you really think the 10 posts above including my own were dead serious? Everyone knows that PNC is not a player. The U. The branches are the first buildings in Louisville to get the council’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design rating.

Among other steps, the branches’ operating costs are reduced nearly 45 percent with maximum use of natural light and construction waste was recycled or salvaged. This entire board is going to shit. These super-sarcastic posts laden with IBO inside jokes are getting really annoying. As if this place weren’t redundant enough with the serious questions. That’s why there are some light hearted threads.

Holy shit Think I should go? WSO depends on everyone being able to pitch in when they know. Join Us.
